Meet Antony: the Engineer Behind ABR Engineering
Antony learned his trade in the Royal Navy, where a fault has to be fixed with what’s on board and there’s no one else to ring. He then spent 14 years as an engineering manager in the automotive industry, where downtime is measured in lost output and nobody accepts a bodge.
In 2008 he set up ABR Engineering at Fields Farm, Fagl Lane, just outside Wrexham. With more than 30 years in engineering behind him, he has worked on almost every kind of mechanical and electrical problem, from gearboxes and conveyors to control panels, stainless pipework and one-off parts that are no longer made.
How we work
You deal with the engineer who does the work, not a call centre. That means a straight answer about what’s wrong, honest advice on whether it’s worth repairing, and a fix that’s meant to last.
What that means for you
- One point of contact for mechanical, electrical, stainless welding and machining work
- Emergency cover Mon–Fri 5pm–9am and 24/7 at weekends
- Our own workshop for fabrication, machining and ironwork
- Office hours Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm
In the workshop and on site
Bar heating in the forge, ready for hand forging.
The anvil where our forged pieces are shaped.
ABR Engineering on site repairing park railings.
